Exodous 22:6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks
of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that
kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
Exodous 22:14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt,
or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
Exodous 22:16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie
with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money
according to the dowry of virgins.
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be
utterly destroyed.
21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers
in the land of Egypt.
22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.
23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will
surely hear their cry;
24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your
wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt
not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver
it unto him by that the sun goeth down:
27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein
shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that
I will hear; for I am gracious.
28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
29 Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy
liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days
it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.
31 And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that
is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
Exodous 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with
the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak
in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely
bring it back to him again.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and
wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay
thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth
the words of the righteous.
9 Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger,
seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Joshua 23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is
written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom
to the right hand or to the left;
7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither
make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither
serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
Psalms 10:2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be
taken in the devices that they have imagined.
Psalms 10:8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret
places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the
poor.
Psalms 12:5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that
puffeth at him.
Psalms 15:1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in
thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the
truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour,

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear
the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against
the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Psalms 26:3 For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked
in thy truth.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.
5 I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and will not sit with the
wicked.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen
thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalms 28:3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity,
which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
Psalms 29:9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth
the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy,

8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will

Proverbs 12:16 A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth

desire thou his dainty meats:

8 The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet

9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy

Proverbs 24:11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death,
and those that are ready to be slain;
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the
heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and
shall not he render to every man according to his works?
Proverbs 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart
be glad when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath
from him.
Proverbs 24:28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and

Proverbs 25:17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be
weary of thee, and so hate thee.

be thirsty, give him water to drink:
22 For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward

Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled

Proverbs 26:17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not
to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Proverbs 26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there
is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
Proverbs 26:22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down
into the innermost parts of the belly.
Proverbs 28:4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep
the law contend with them.
Proverbs 28:10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way,

rob the fatherless!

their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the
LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding
thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isaiah 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which
eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
5 Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than

14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for
sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord
GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:
16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the
God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of
truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid
from mine eyes.
Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things
have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that
is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Jeremiah 6:11 Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with
holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly
of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken,
the aged with him that is full of days.
Jeremiah 7:6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow,
and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods
to your hurt:

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest
to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget
thy children.
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up
your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain
righteousness upon you.
Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD
require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly
with thy God?
Zechariah 4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the

so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith
shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out,
and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be
hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not
come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:
but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in
the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness
of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom
of heaven.
21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill;
and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without
a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his
brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say,
Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest
that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled
to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge
deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till
thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit
adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her
hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and
not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee:
for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and
not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her
a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for
the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever
shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou
shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's
throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for
it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one
hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is
more than these cometh of evil.
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth
for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite
thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let
him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee
turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour,
and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do
good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you,
and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he
maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on
the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do
not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of
them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee,
as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may
have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand
doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret
himself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they
think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth
and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy
whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If
therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love
the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot
serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall
eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap,
nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not
much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field,
how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed
like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is,
and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you,
O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall
we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly
Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought
for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come,
ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation
of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave

taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be
saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with
joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard,
go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life,
and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or
putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which
enter in may see the light.
17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing
hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give
him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:
how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that
ask him?
Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not
with me scattereth.
Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret
place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come
in may see the light.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single,

thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be
made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the
blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou
shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and
wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also,

Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy
husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem
is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall
neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit
and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called
Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are
white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:
that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured,
and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying

judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision,
which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the
heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men,
but of God.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even
so we also should walk in newness of life.

simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to
that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring
one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend
to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight
of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:
for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there
is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God:
and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou
then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have
praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which
is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the
minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience
sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers,
attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom
to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another
hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt
not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and
if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling
of the law.
Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness,
not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh,
to fulfil the lusts thereof.

one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather
suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?
Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners,
shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not
expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under
the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth
the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we
should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people
sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell
in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed
of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed
of the destroyer.

22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things

24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for
conscience sake:
26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed
to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience
sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols,
eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth
is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty
judged of another man's conscience?
30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for
which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the
glory of God.
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the
church of God:
33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit,
but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries,
and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my
body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth
not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth
all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail;
whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge,
it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall
be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought
as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I
know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of
these is charity.
1 Corinthians 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit
in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

2 Corinthians 3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as
some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation
from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered
by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not
in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received
mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness,
nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2 Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory
of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the
power may be of God, and not of us.
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but
not in despair;
9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the
life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that
the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also
that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of
salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold,
now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much
patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in
fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy
Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness
on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers,
and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened,
and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as
having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us
cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have
defrauded no man.
2 Corinthians 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God
bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and
their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were
willing of themselves;
4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take
upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to
the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also
finish in you the same grace also.
7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge,
and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this
grace also.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others,
and to prove the sincerity of your love.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich,
yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be
rich.
2 Corinthians 9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren,
that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty,
whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter
of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and
he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor:
his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your
food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through
us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of
the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your
professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution
unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace
of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 10:17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
2 Corinthians 12:14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and
I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours but you: for the children
ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly
I love you, the less I be loved.
16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught
you with guile.
17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?
18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain
of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
19 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God
in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would,
and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates,
envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that
I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of
the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove
your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in
you, except ye be reprobates?
6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved,
but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we
wish, even your perfection.
10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should
use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification,
and not to destruction.
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one
mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.
Galatians 4:17 They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would
exclude you, that ye might affect them.
18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not
only when I am present with you.
19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be
formed in you,
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use
not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust
of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do
the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions,
heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which
I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections
and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying
one another.
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially
unto them who are of the household of faith.
Ephesians 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted
and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length,
and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might
be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we
ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye
walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another
in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of
the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which
is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that
which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure
of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in
love.
Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with
his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working
with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him
that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which
is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the
day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking,
be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once
named among you, as becometh saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous
man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and
of God.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light:
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,
but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them
in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead,
and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord
is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of
the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to
their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and
gave himself for it;
Ephesians 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He
that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth
it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be
joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even
as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up
in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh,
with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing
the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive
of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening:
knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of
persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his
might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having
on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching
thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God,
without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this
one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth
unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ

Colossians 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the
Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing
unto the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord
so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you
as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are
not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken
in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of
faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one
another, even as also ye do.
12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and
are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be
at peace among yourselves.

support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that
which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

2 Thessalonians 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac
his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made
perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and
it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend
of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had
received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is
dead also.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship
of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of
the world is the enemy of God.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift
