1 Samuel 25:17 Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil
is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he
is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.
Proverbs 9:7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he
that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will
love thee.
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just
man, and he will increase in learning.
Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude
of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 13:8 The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth
not rebuke.
Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and
he that hateth reproof shall die.
Proverbs 15:12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will
he go unto the wise.
Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude
of counsellors they are established.
Proverbs 15:31 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the
wise.
32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth
reproof getteth understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour
is humility.
Proverbs 17:10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes
into a fool.
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove
one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Proverbs 20:18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice
make war.
Proverbs 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom
of thy words.
Proverbs 24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude
of counsellors there is safety.
Proverbs 25:12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is
a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.
Proverbs 26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be
like unto him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.
Proverbs 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.
6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance
of his friend.
Proverbs 28:23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour
than he that flattereth with the tongue.
Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly
be destroyed, and that without remedy.
Proverbs 29:19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand
he will not answer.
Ecclesiastes 7:5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a
man to hear the song of fools.
Ezekiel 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When
I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their
coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and
warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning;
if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall
be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and
the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among
them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at
the watchman's hand.
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel;
therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou
dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die
in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he
do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered
thy soul.
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest
not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine
eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then
shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through
dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and
when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked
than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that
man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind?
shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall
be as his master.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest
not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Acts 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from
the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
2 Corinthians 12:19 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we
speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your
edifying.
20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would,
and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates,
envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that
I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of
the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
2 Corinthians 13:10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being
present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath
given me to edification, and not to destruction.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Hebrews 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you
as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor
faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he
receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son
is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are
ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we
gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the
Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure;
but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous:
nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness
unto them which are exercised thereby.
