Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not
respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but
in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
Deuteronomy 1:16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the
causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and
his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small
as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the
judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto
me, and I will hear it.
Deuteronomy 17:1 Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the LORD thy God any bullock,
or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination
unto the LORD thy God.
2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy
God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight
of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun,
or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently,
and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is
wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed
that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt
stone them with stones, till they die.
6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy
of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be
put to death.
7 The hands of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death,
and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away
from among you.
8 If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and
blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters
of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up
into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;
9 And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that
shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence
of judgment:
10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place
which the LORD shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do
according to all that they inform thee:
11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and
according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou
shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right
hand, nor to the left.
12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the
priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto
the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from
Israel.
13 And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty
inventions.
Proverbs 18:5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow
the righteous in judgment.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness
for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet
for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own
sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle
strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness
of the righteous from him!
Isaiah 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write
grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from
the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may
rob the fatherless!
Isaiah 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my
salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
Zechariah 7:8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew
mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the
poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped
their ears, that they should not hear.
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest
not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine
eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then
shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay
tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters
of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and
not to leave the other undone.
Mark 4:24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more
be given.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For
with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all
manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought
ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil;
cleave to that which is good.
Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at
nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to
me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
1 Corinthians 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ,
and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or
of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that
judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both
will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest
the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among
you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles,
that one should have his father's wife.
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done
this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already,
as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and
my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that
the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 Corinthians 5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world,
or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must
ye needs go out of the world.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that
is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer,
or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye
judge them that are within?
1 Corinthians 6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to
law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world
shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain
to this life?
4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them
to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you?
no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law
one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather
suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
Philippians 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and
more in knowledge and in all judgment;
10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere
and without offence till the day of Christ.
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ,
unto the glory and praise of God.
Hebrews 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered,
seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one
teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness:
for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who
by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
James 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law
of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy;
and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
