Exodous 23:6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay
thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
Exodous 34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD,
The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness
and truth,
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and
sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of
the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the
third and to the fourth generation.
Judges 6:22 And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD,
Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD
face to face.
23 And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt
not die.
24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom:
unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
25 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take
thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old,
and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the
grove that is by it:
1 Samuel 15:30 Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee,
before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me,
that I may worship the LORD thy God.
31 So Samuel turned again after Saul; and Saul worshipped the LORD.
2 Samuel 12:1 And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him,
and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the
other poor.
2 The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:
3 But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought
and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children;
it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom,
and was unto him as a daughter.
4 And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of
his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was
come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man
that was come to him.
2 Kings 24:1 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim
became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the
Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon,
and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the
LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove
them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he
did;
4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem
with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
2 Chronicles 30:18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim,
and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did
they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed
for them, saying, The good LORD pardon every one
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though
he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
2 Chronicles 33:1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign,
and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:
2 But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations
of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
3 For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken
down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped
all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said,
In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the
house of the LORD.
6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the
son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft,
and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil
in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
7 And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of
God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house,
and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will
I put my name for ever:
8 Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land
which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to
do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes
and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
9 So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to
do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children
of Israel.
10 And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not
hearken.
11 Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the
king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with
fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled
himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
13 And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication,
and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew
that the LORD he was God.
14 Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west
side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate,
and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put
captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
15 And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the
LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of
the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16 And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings
and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
17 Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto
the LORD their God only.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and
the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of
Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
19 His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sins,
and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up
groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written
among the sayings of the seers.
20 So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house:
and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
2 Chronicles 34:16 And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought
the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants,
they do it.
17 And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house
of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to
the hand of the workmen.
18 Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath
given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
19 And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that
he rent his clothes.
20 And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon
the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king's,
saying,
21 Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel
and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great
is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers
have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this
book.
22 And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the
prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper
of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake
to her to that effect.
23 And she answered them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell ye the
man that sent you to me,
24 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon
the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book
which they have read before the king of Judah:
25 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods,
that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore
my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.
26 And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so
shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the
words which thou hast heard;
27 Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before
God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants
thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and
weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.
28 Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered
to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I
will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they
brought the king word again.
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge
the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins
be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath
committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right,
he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned
unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord
GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth
iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man
doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not
be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that
he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
Ezekiel 18:26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness,
and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath
done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath
committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul
alive.
28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions
that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up
your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain
righteousness upon you.
Jonah 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this
my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish:
for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and
of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother
sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until
seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which
would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed
him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold,
and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have
patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him,
and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which
owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the
throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying,
Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay
the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and
came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked
servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even
as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he
should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your
hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his
heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to
pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that
your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven
forgive your trespasses.
Luke 5:15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great
multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there
were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of
every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord
was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy:
and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because
of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through
the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven
thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this
which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them,
What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise
up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive
sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and
take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay,
and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with
fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing
again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the
Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not
be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and
shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with
the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Luke 7:36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him.
And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that
Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet
with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his
feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself,
saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner
of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto
thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five
hundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell
me therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman?
I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she
hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath
not ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed
my feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for
she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who
is this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is
indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee,
rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times
in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Luke 18:9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves
that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the
other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that
I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as
this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his
eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to
me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the
other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that
humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what
they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged
on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour,
for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this
sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands
the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may
receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast
thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right
in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the
thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond
of iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none
of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever
believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through
this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which
ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Acts 26:17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto
whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from
the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that
is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through
the forbearance of God;
Romans 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto
whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins
are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
2 Corinthians 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if
I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in
the person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of
his devices.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not
to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus
Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted
in the beloved.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace;
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith
he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace
in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and
evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath
translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of
sins:
Colossians 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved,
bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a
quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are
called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the
Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for
that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained
mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love
which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ
might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter
believe on him to life everlasting.
2 Timothy 4:16 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook
me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge.
17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by
me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear:
and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve
me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,
he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might
destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject
to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him
the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren,
that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining
to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour
them that are tempted.
Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not
the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers
once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every
year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take
away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering
thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,)
to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering
for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered
by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first,
that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the
same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat
down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had
said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith
the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will
I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge
of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy,
who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of
the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done
despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense,
saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
James 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert
him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his
way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober,
and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity
shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare
unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie,
and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from
all sin.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is
not in us.
1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is
in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion
of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness,
and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his
eyes.
