Exodous 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that
is in the water under the earth.
Exodous 20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the
children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto
you gods of gold.
Exodous 22:20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only,
he shall be utterly destroyed.
Exodous 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect:
and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out
of thy mouth.
Exodous 23:23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto
the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites,
the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their
works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their
images.
25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and
thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
26 There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the
number of thy days I will fulfil.
Exodous 32:6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings,
and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink,
and rose up to play.
Leviticus 19:4 Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods:
I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear
you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your
land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
Numbers 25:1 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit
whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the
people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
3 And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was
kindled against Israel.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang
them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD
may be turned away from Israel.
5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that
were joined unto Baalpeor.
6 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren
a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation
of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation.
7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw
it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of
them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the
plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
10 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned
my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake
among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an
everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an
atonement for the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 4:15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw
no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb
out of the midst of the fire:
16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude
of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged
fowl that flieth in the air,
18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of
any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the
sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest
be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided
unto all nations under the whole heaven.
Deuteronomy 4:23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant
of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,
or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
Deuteronomy 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing
that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the waters beneath the earth:
Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt
swear by his name.
14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are
round about you;
15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the
LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face
of the earth.
16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
Deuteronomy 17:2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which
the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness
in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,
3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun,
or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently,
and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is
wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed
that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt
stone them with stones, till they die.
Deuteronomy 27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image,
an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and
putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
Deuteronomy 29:18 Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family,
or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go
and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root
that beareth gall and wormwood;
Deuteronomy 32:15 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat,
thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God
which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked
they him to anger.
Joshua 23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is
written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom
to the right hand or to the left;
7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither
make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither
serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:
8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt
offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to
obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity
and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also

sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God of Israel to

1 Kings 16:29 And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began
Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned
over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.
30 And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all
that were before him.
31 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk
in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the
daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and
worshipped him.
32 And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had
built in Samaria.
33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel
to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.
2 Kings 5:15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company,
and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there
is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take
a blessing of thy servant.
16 But he said, As the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive
none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
17 And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant
two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither
burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the LORD.
18 In this thing the LORD pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth
into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and
I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house
of Rimmon, the LORD pardon thy servant in this thing.
19 And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
2 Kings 17:24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from
Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them
in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed
Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
25 And so it was at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they feared
not the LORD: therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some
of them.
26 Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which
thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner
of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold,
they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.
27 Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the
priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and
let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.
28 Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came
and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD.
29 Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses
of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their
cities wherein they dwelt.
30 And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal,
and the men of Hamath made Ashima,
31 And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their
children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.
32 So they feared the LORD, and made unto themselves of the lowest of them
priests of the high places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the
high places.
33 They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of
the nations whom they carried away from thence.
34 Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD,
neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after
the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob,
whom he named Israel;
35 With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye
shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor
sacrifice to them:
36 But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great
power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship,
and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
37 And the statutes, and the ordinances, and the law, and the commandment,
which he wrote for you, ye shall observe to do for evermore; and ye shall
not fear other gods.
38 And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither
shall ye fear other gods.
39 But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of
the hand of all your enemies.
40 Howbeit they did not hearken, but they did after their former manner.
41 So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both
their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so
do they unto this day.
2 Chronicles 28:1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and
he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right
in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:
2 For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten
images for Baalim.
3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt
his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the
LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
4 He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills,
and under every green tree.
5 Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of
Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives,
and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of
the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.
2 Chronicles 34:1 Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and
he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years.
2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in
the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor
to the left.
3 For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began
to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began
to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the
carved images, and the molten images.
4 And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the images,
that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved
images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them,
and strowed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.
5 And he burnt the bones of the priests upon their altars, and cleansed
Judah and Jerusalem.
6 And so did he in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even
unto Naphtali, with their mattocks round about.
7 And when he had broken down the altars and the groves, and had beaten
the graven images into powder, and cut down all the idols throughout all
the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 2:11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but
my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very
desolate, saith the LORD.
13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain
of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can
hold no water.
Jeremiah 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house
of Israel:
2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed
at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of
the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and
with hammers, that it move not.
5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne,
because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil,
neither also is it in them to do good.
Jeremiah 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is
a doctrine of vanities.
9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz,
the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple
is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
10 But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting
king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be
able to abide his indignation.
Jeremiah 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established
the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens,
and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh
lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by
the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath
in them.
15 They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation
they shall perish.
16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things;
and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.
Ezekiel 14:1 Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat
before me.
2 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put
the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired
of at all by them?
4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart,
and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh
to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the
multitude of his idols;
5 That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are
all estranged from me through their idols.
6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent,
and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your
abominations.
7 For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth
in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in
his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face,
and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will
answer him by myself:
8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and
a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall
know that I am the LORD.
Daniel 3:8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused
the Jews.
9 They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the
sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all
kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into
the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province
of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not
regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which
thou hast set up.
*** Error *** : DAN 3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded
to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before
the king.
Daniel 3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image
which I have set up?
15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet,
flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye
fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship
not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace;
and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar,
we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning
fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy
gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was
changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and
commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it
was wont to be heated.
20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats,
and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery
furnace.
22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace
exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound
into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Daniel 3:28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants
that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their
bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own
God.
Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the
one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the
other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from
among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols,
and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being
read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon
you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from
things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves,
ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to
think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by
art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all
men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power
and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither
were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish
heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like
to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their
own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the
creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Romans 2:22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou
commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the
disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God,
it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the
kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

1 Corinthians 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that
are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in
the world, and that there is none other God but one.
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth,
(as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and
we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by

7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience
of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their
conscience being weak is defiled.
8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the
better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock
to them that are weak.
10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's
temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat
those things which are offered to idols;
11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ
died?
12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience,
ye sin against Christ.
13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while
the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
1 Corinthians 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they
were overthrown in the wilderness.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after
evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people
sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell
in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed
of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed
of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written
for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are
able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may
be able to bear it.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat
of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered
in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice
to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship
with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot
be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things
are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for
conscience sake:
26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed
to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience
sake.
28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols,
eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth
is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty
judged of another man's conscience?
30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for
which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the
glory of God.
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the
church of God:
33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit,
but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
Galatians 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness
