Exodous 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodous 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with
the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak
in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
Exodous 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous
slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
Leviticus 5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is
a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then
he shall bear his iniquity.
Leviticus 6:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his
neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or
in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;
3 Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth
falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:
4 Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall
restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully
gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which
he found,
5 Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it
in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it
unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.
6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, a ram without
blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering,
unto the priest:
Leviticus 19:11 Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one
to another.
2 Kings 5:20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold,
my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands
that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and
take somewhat of him.
21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after
him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even
now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of
the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes
of garments.
23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and
bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and
laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed
them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him,
Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned
again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and
to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen,
and menservants, and maidservants?
27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy
seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
2 Kings 8:8 And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand,
and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall
I recover of this disease?
9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every
good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before
him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying,
Shall I recover of this disease?
10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover:
howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.
11 And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and
the man of God wept.
12 And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know
the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds
wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword,
and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
13 And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this
great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt
be king over Syria.
14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him,
What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest
surely recover.
15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped
it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned
in his stead.
Psalms 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth
not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Proverbs 3:16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand
riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every
one that retaineth her.
19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established
the heavens.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination
unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running
to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among
brethren.
Proverbs 12:19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying
tongue is but for a moment.
20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors
of peace is joy.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal
truly are his delight.
Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome,
and cometh to shame.
Proverbs 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh
lies shall not escape.
Proverbs 20:17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth
shall be filled with gravel.
Proverbs 21:6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed
to and fro of them that seek death.
Proverbs 21:28 A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh
constantly.
Proverbs 24:23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have
respect of persons in judgment.
24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people
curse, nations shall abhor him:
25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall
come upon them.
26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.
Proverbs 24:28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and
deceive not with thy lips.
Proverbs 25:18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is
a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.
19 Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth,
and a foot out of joint.
Proverbs 26:18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,
19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?
Proverbs 26:24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit
within him;
25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations
in his heart.
26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before
the whole congregation.
27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone,
it will return upon him.
28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering
mouth worketh ruin.
Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
Ecclesiastes 5:4 When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for
he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
5 Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow
and not pay.
6 Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before
the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice,
and destroy the work of thine hands?
7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities:
but fear thou God.
Jeremiah 9:1 Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain of tears,
that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that
I might leave my people, and go from them! for they be all adulterers, an
assembly of treacherous men.
3 And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not
valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil,
and they know not me, saith the LORD.
4 Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother:
for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with
slanders.
5 And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the
truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves
to commit iniquity.
6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse
to know me, saith the LORD.
7 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and
try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?
8 Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh
peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.
9 Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my
soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
Jeremiah 38:24 Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these
words, and thou shalt not die.
25 But if the princes hear that I have talked with thee, and they come unto
thee, and say unto thee, Declare unto us now what thou hast said unto the
king, hide it not from us, and we will not put thee to death; also what
the king said unto thee:
26 Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the
king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.
27 Then came all the princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them
according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off
speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.
28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the prison until the day that Jerusalem
was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken.
Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD
hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no
truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery,
they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall
languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea,
the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Zechariah 5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold
a flying roll.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll;
the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face
of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this
side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on
that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into
the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely
by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume
it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
Luke 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall
we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any
falsely; and be content with your wages.
Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall
I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save
one, that is, God.
Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a
possession,
2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and
brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it
not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?
thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and
great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried
him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing
what was done, came in.
8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much?
And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt
the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband
are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost:
and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth,
buried her by her husband.
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these
things.
Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth
another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt
not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and
if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying,
namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling
of the law.
2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received
mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness,
nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with
his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the
Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and
truth;)
Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his
deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the
image of him that created him:
1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man,
but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for
unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for
manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers,
for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is
contrary to sound doctrine;
Hebrews 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear
by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply
thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is
to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise
the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,
we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold
upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in
it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it:
and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall
be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither
whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written
in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may
have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into
the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers,
and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
