Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Exodous 4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met
him, and sought to kill him.
25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son,
and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of
the circumcision.
Exodous 15:25 And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree,
which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there
he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy
God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to
his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases
upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that
healeth thee.
Exodous 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and
keep my commandments.
Leviticus 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them
his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange
fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died
before the LORD.
3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I
will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people
I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
Numbers 3:3 These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which
were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.
4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire
before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and
Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron
their father.
Numbers 14:22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles,
which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these
ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers,
neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath
followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and
his seed shall possess it.
Numbers 15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they
found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron,
and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be
done to him.
35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all
the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him
with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Numbers 18:1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's
house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy
sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring
thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee:
but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of
witness.
3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle:
only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar,
that neither they, nor ye also, die.
Numbers 20:2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered
themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
3 And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we
had died when our brethren died before the LORD!
4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness,
that we and our cattle should die there?
5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in
unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or
of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.
6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door
of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and
the glory of the LORD appeared unto them.
7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy
brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give
forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock:
so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock,
and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out
of this rock?
11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice:
and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their
beasts also.
12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not,
to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall
not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Numbers 20:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the
coast of the land of Edom, saying,
24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into
the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled
against my word at the water of Meribah.
Numbers 27:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount
Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.
13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people,
as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife
of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that
is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
Deuteronomy 5:28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake
unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words
of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all
that they have spoken.
Deuteronomy 5:32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath
commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded
you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may
prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
Deuteronomy 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments,
which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in
the land whither ye go to possess it:
2 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and
his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's
son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with
thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers
hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt
swear by his name.
14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are
round about you;
15 (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the
LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face
of the earth.
16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and his
testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD:
that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the
good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers.
Deuteronomy 6:20 And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What
mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD
our God hath commanded you?
21 Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt;
and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon
Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes:
23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give
us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD
our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is
at this day.
25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments
before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful
God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his
commandments to a thousand generations;
10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will
not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
Deuteronomy 7:12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these
judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto
thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:
13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also
bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy
wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep,
in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female
barren among you, or among your cattle.
15 And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none
of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay
them upon all them that hate thee.
16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver
thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their
gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
Deuteronomy 8:1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall
ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess
the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.
2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these
forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know
what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or
no.
3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna,
which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make
thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth
out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these
forty years.
5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his
son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.
6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk
in his ways, and to fear him.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he
that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant
which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk
after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you
this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye
perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your
God.
Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of
thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love
him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command
thee this day for thy good?
Deuteronomy 11:1 Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his
charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.
Deuteronomy 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I
command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God,
but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after
other gods, which ye have not known.
Deuteronomy 12:1 These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe
to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess
it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
Deuteronomy 12:28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee,
that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever,
when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD thy
God.
Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou
shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Deuteronomy 13:18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God,
to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which
is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
Deuteronomy 17:14 When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God
giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say,
I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
15 Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God
shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee:
thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
16 But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to
return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as
the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away:
neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that
he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before
the priests the Levites:
19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his
life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words
of this law and these statutes, to do them:
20 That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn
not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the
end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in
the midst of Israel.
Deuteronomy 26:16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these
statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul.
17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his
ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments,
and to hearken unto his voice:
Deuteronomy 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this
law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently
unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments
which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high
above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou
shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and
the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy
sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when
thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten
before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before
thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and
in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the
land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath
sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God,
and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name
of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy
body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in
the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the
rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand:
and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt
be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto
the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to
observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee
this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve
them.
Deuteronomy 30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come
upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and
thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy
God hath driven thee,
2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according
to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul;
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion
upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither
the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence
will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed,
and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above
thy fathers.
6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy
seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul,
that thou mayest live.
7 And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and
on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments
which I command thee this day.
9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand,
in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit
of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good,
as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his
commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law,
and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all
thy soul.
Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and
death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in
his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments,
that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee
in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be
drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye
shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan
to go to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set
before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his
voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the
length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware
unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Joshua 23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is
written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom
to the right hand or to the left;
Judges 3:1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to prove Israel
by them, even as many of Israel as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
2 Only that the generations of the children of Israel might know, to teach
them war, at the least such as before knew nothing thereof;
3 Namely, five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the
Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon
unto the entering in of Hamath.
4 And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken
unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the
hand of Moses.
1 Samuel 7:1 And the men of Kirjathjearim came, and fetched up the ark of
the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified
Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.
2 And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjathjearim, that the time
was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented
after the LORD.
3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return
unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth
from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only:
and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
4 Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served
the LORD only.
5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you
unto the LORD.
6 And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out
before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned
against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.
1 Samuel 13:7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad
and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed
him trembling.
8 And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed:
but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
9 And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings.
And he offered the burnt offering.
10 And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the
burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that
he might salute him.
11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that
the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days
appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal,
and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore,
and offered a burnt offering.
13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept
the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would
the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man
after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over
his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
1 Samuel 15:1 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee
to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto
the voice of the words of the LORD.
2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel,
how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare
them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep,
camel and ass.
1 Samuel 15:10 Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying,
1 Samuel 15:13 And Samuel came to Saul: and Saul said unto him, Blessed
be thou of the LORD: I have performed the commandment of the LORD.
14 And Samuel said, What meaneth then this bleating of the sheep in mine
ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?
15 And Saul said, They have brought them from the Amalekites: for the people
spared the best of the sheep and of the oxen, to sacrifice unto the LORD
thy God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.
16 Then Samuel said unto Saul, Stay, and I will tell thee what the LORD
hath said to me this night. And he said unto him, Say on.
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt
offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to
obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity
and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also
rejected thee from being king.
1 Samuel 15:26 And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for
thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee
from being king over Israel.
1 Samuel 28:15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to
bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines
make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more,
neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou
mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
16 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD
is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?
17 And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent
the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David:
18 Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce
wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this
day.
19 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of
the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD
also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
2 Samuel 12:7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the
LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee
out of the hand of Saul;
8 And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom,
and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too
little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.
9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in
his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken
his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children
of Ammon.
10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because
thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be
thy wife.
2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD.
And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt
not die.
14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies
of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely
die.
1 Kings 6:12 Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt
walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments
to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto
David thy father:
13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my
people Israel.
1 Kings 12:29 And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan.
30 And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the
one, even unto Dan.
31 And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of
the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.
32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day
of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon
the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had
made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had
made.
33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth
day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own
heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered
upon the altar, and burnt incense.
1 Kings 13:7 And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and
refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward.
8 And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine
house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water
in this place:
9 For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread,
nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.
10 So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.
11 Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told
him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words
which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.
12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen
what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
13 And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the
ass: and he rode thereon,
14 And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and
he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he
said, I am.
15 Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.
16 And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither
will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:
17 For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread
nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.
18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake
unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine
house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
19 So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.
20 And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD
came unto the prophet that brought him back:
21 And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith
the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast
not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,
22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of
the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy
carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.
23 And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk,
that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought
back.
24 And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his
carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood
by the carcase.
25 And, behold, men passed by, and saw the carcase cast in the way, and
the lion standing by the carcase: and they came and told it in the city
where the old prophet dwelt.
26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof,
he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the
LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn
him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto
him.
1 Kings 20:35 And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said unto his
neighbour in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray thee. And the man refused
to smite him.
36 Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the
LORD, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee.
And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
2 Kings 18:1 Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah
king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.
2 Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned
twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the
daughter of Zachariah.
3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to
all that David his father did.
4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves,
and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those
days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.
5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like
him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
6 For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept
his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.
7 And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth:
and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.
1 Chronicles 10:13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed
against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not,
and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire
of it;
14 And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom
unto David the son of Jesse.
1 Chronicles 13:7 And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the
house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.
8 And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with
singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with
cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his
hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.
10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him,
because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
11 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza:
wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.
1 Chronicles 15:11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests,
and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and
Amminadab,
12 And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify
yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the
LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13 For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach
upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the
ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15 And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders
with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the
LORD.
2 Chronicles 7:17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David
thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and
shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted
with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler
in Israel.
19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which
I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given
them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out
of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one
that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto
this land, and unto this house?
22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their
fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold
on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought
all this evil upon them.
2 Chronicles 11:5 And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for
defence in Judah.
6 He built even Bethlehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,
7 And Bethzur, and Shoco, and Adullam,
8 And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
9 And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,
10 And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin
fenced cities.
11 And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store
of victual, and of oil and wine.
12 And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them exceeding
strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.
13 And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him
out of all their coasts.
14 For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to
Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing
the priest's office unto the LORD:
15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils,
and for the calves which he had made.
16 And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts
to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the
LORD God of their fathers.
17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son
of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of
David and Solomon.
2 Chronicles 12:13 So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and
reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign,
and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had
chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's
name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD.
2 Chronicles 15:9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers
with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell
to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his God was
with him.
2 Chronicles 24:20 And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of
Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus
saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot
prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
2 Chronicles 31:20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought
that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.
21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and
in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all
his heart, and prospered.
2 Chronicles 34:16 And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought
the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants,
they do it.
17 And they have gathered together the money that was found in the house
of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to
the hand of the workmen.
18 Then Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath
given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
19 And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that
he rent his clothes.
20 And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Abdon
the son of Micah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king's,
saying,
21 Go, enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel
and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is found: for great
is the wrath of the LORD that is poured out upon us, because our fathers
have not kept the word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this
book.
22 And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the
prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper
of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake
to her to that effect.
23 And she answered them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell ye the
man that sent you to me,
24 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon
the inhabitants thereof, even all the curses that are written in the book
which they have read before the king of Judah:
25 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods,
that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore
my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.
26 And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so
shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the
words which thou hast heard;
27 Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before
God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants
thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and
weep before me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.
28 Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered
to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I
will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they
brought the king word again.
Nehemiah 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and
terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and
observe his commandments:
Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have
esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Psalms 15:1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in
thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the
truth in his heart.
3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour,
nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear
the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.
5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against
the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
Psalms 103:17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting
upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments
to do them.
19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth
over all.
20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments,
hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his
pleasure.
Psalms 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding
have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Psalms 112:1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
Psalms 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of
the LORD.
2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the
whole heart.
3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed
thereto according to thy word.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination
unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running
to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among
brethren.
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy,
and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD
than sacrifice.
4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
Proverbs 28:4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep
the law contend with them.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear
God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing,
whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge
the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins
be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson,
they shall be as wool.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the
LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding
thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Jeremiah 11:3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel;
Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out
of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and
do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people,
and I will be your God:
*** Error *** : EZE 20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my
judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
Ezekiel 24:14 I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will
do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent;
according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee,
saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 33:14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;
if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk
in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live,
he shall not die.
16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him:
he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and
said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy
to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice
of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his
paths straight.
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to
his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned
you to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore
every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into
the fire.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully
use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he
maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on
the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do
not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad
is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast
into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I
will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not,
shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and
beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my
mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold
my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the
same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what
good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but
one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew 21:28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came
to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said,
I go, sir: and went not.
31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him,
The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans
and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him
not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had
seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples
also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose
his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous
and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when
he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running,
and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may
inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good
but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do
not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and
mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed
from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou
lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and
thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow
me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great
possessions.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly
shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again,
and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches
to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for
a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who
then can be saved?
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not
with God: for with God all things are possible.
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I
say?
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will
shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the
foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently
upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation
built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently,
and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good
heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Luke 8:21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren
are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word
of God, and keep it.
Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And
he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will
seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door,
and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord,
open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence
ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence,
and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from
me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham,
and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you
yourselves thrust out.
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north,
and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first
which shall be last.
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get
thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils,
and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following:
for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them
that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together,
as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them:
but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
John 4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him
ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work.
John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall
never see death.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that
loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will
love him, and will manifest myself to him.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep
my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make
our abode with him.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in
me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be
my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have
kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you,
and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for
his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Acts 4:19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be
right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge
ye.
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought
to obey God rather than men.
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a
tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour,
for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost,
whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Acts 5:34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel,
a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded
to put the apostles forth a little space;
35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye
intend to do as touching these men.
36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody;
to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was
slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.
37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and
drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many
as obeyed him, were dispersed.
38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for
if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even
to fight against God.
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten
them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and
let them go.
Acts 10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive
that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is
accepted with him.
Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the
spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour
and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the
Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without
law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of
the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things
contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience
also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else
excusing one another;)
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according
to my gospel.
17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy
boast of God,
18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent,
being instructed out of the law;
19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light
of them which are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form
of knowledge and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou
that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery?
thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest
thou God?
24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as
it is written.
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou
be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall
not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law,
judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision,
which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the
heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men,
but of God.
Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should
obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto
sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead,
and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye
have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is,
that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according
to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish
their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness
of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
1 Corinthians 9:23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be
partaker thereof with you.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth
the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth
the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we
should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people
sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell
in one day three and twenty thousand.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed
of serpents.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed
of the destroyer.
1 Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual,
let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments
of the Lord.
38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
2 Corinthians 2:5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me,
but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him,
lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you,
whether ye be obedient in all things.
2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle
were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house
which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that
we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed
up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath
given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home
in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted
of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every
one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus
judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us
cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 7:15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you,
whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling
ye received him.
2 Corinthians 9:13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify
God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your
liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace
of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after
the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God
to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience
of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled.
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself
for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will
of the Lord is.
Philippians 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in
the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge
and in all judgment;
10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere
and without offence till the day of Christ.
Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as
in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good
pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights
in the world;
Philippians 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received,
and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Colossians 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;
fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well
pleasing unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which
he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
1 Timothy 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable,
until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to
obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness
unto all men.
Hebrews 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of
temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway
err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief,
in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of
you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts,
as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came
out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had
sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to
them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering
into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word
preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard
it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn
in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished
from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God
did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to
whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long
a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your
hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken
of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own
works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after
the same example of unbelief.
Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers
and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to
save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto
all them that obey him;
Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come,
saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel
and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day
when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because
they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great
recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God,
ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not
tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall
have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that
believe to the saving of the soul.
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than
Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying
of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them
that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with
fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned
the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should
after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither
he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country,
dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the
same promise:
Hebrews 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and
he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from
whence also he received him in a figure.
Hebrews 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of
his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid
of the king's commandment.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son
of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in
Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest
he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians
assaying to do were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about
seven days.
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when
she had received the spies with peace.
32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon,
and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel,
and of the prophets:
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises,
stopped the mouths of lions.
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of
weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the
armies of the aliens.
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured,
not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover
of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with
the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute,
afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in
mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received
not the promise:
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a
man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth
what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein,
he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall
be blessed in his deed.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you.
8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye
sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning,
and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
1 Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered
throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification
of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:
Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope
to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation
of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former
lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them
that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness
of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and
of Jesus our Lord,
1 John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:
hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as
he walked.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that
doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his
commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his
Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.
And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given
us.
1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love
God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments
are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory
that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus
is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water
only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness,
because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water,
and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this
is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that
believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record
that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this
life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath
not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the
Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing
according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have
the petitions that we desired of him.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall
ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There
is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten
of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding,
that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even
in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
2 John 1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in
the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we
have received a commandment from the Father.
5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment
unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment,
That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought,
but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath
not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father
and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him
not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and
ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy
may be full.
13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.
3 John 1:1 The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These
things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David,
he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no
man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word,
and hast not denied my name.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will
keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world,
to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take
thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and
he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and
the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down
out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may
have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into
the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers,
and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
