Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren,
Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea:
for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be
hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your
pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again
and rend you.
Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion
on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having
no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but
the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers
into his harvest.
Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what
ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall
on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also
before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my
Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace,
but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter
against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and
he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the
world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 2:15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house,
many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples:
for there were many, and they followed him.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners,
they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with
publicans and sinners?
17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no
need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.
Mark 4:1 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered
unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the
sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his
doctrine,
3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls
of the air came and devoured it up.
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately
it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:
6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root,
it withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and
it yielded no fruit.
8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and
increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked
of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the
kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done
in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear,
and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their
sins should be forgiven them.
13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye
know all parables?
14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when
they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that
was sown in their hearts.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when
they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward,
when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately
they are offended.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the
lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word,
and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and
some an hundred.
Mark 4:26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast
seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring
and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then
the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle,
because the harvest is come.
Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with
compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd:
and he began to teach them many things.
Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples
also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself,
and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose
his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and
lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous
and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when
he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Mark 9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out
devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because
he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a
miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because
ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they
cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall
not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into
heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with
them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Luke 4:42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place:
and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should
not depart from them.
43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities
also: for therefore am I sent.
44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
Luke 8:4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him
out of every city, he spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way
side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered
away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked
it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.
And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear,
let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom
of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing
they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and
taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be
saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with
joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard,
go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life,
and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart,
having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or
putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which
enter in may see the light.
Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power
and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves,
nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.
5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake
off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and
healing every where.
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose
his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself,
or be cast away?
26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the
Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's,
and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer
me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach
the kingdom of God.
John 4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him
ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,
and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold,
I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are
white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:
that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured,
and ye are entered into their labours.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in
me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,
and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be
my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because
they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou
shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into
the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified
through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe
on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast
sent me.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 5:38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone:
for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even
to fight against God.
40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten
them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and
let them go.
41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they
were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach
and preach Jesus Christ.
Acts 6:1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied,
there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their
widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said,
It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report,
full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry
of the word.
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a
man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and
Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning
the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both
men and women.
Acts 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting
his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive
thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he
received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain
days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the
Son of God.
21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed
them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent,
that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which
dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
Acts 18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent
man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in
the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing
only the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla
had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God
more perfectly.
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting
the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which
had believed through grace:
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the
scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
Acts 19:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space
of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom
of God.
9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that
way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples,
disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which
dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear
unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry,
which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace
of God.
Acts 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from
the blood of all men.
27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Acts 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be
a Christian.
29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that
hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except
these bonds.
Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received
all that came in unto him,
31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern
the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Romans 1:14 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both
to the wise, and to the unwise.
15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that
are at Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of
God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also
to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
1 Corinthians 2:3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much
trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom,
but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power
of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom
of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which
God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they
would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered
into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that
love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth
all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you
envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye
not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed,
even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;
but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall
receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are
God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder,
I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every
man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus
Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard,
and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth
not of the milk of the flock?
8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth
of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this
is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth
in hope should be partaker of his hope.
11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we
shall reap your carnal things?
12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless
we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder
the gospel of Christ.
13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the
things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with
the altar?
14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should
live of the gospel.
15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things,
that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than
that any man should make my glorying void.
16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity
is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my
will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may
make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the
gospel.
19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto
all, that I might gain the more.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them
that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are
under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law
to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without
law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all
things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof
with you.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth
the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth
the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born
out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle,
because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed
upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet
not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received
mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness,
nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth
commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of
God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is
written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore
speak;
14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also
by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through
the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also
that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of
salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold,
now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much
patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in
fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy
Ghost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness
on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers,
and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened,
and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as
having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
2 Corinthians 9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren,
that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty,
whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter
of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and
he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor:
his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your
food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through
us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of
the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your
professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution
unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace
of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 10:15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is,
of other men's labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that
we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another
man's line of things made ready to our hand.
Ephesians 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may
open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly,
as I ought to speak.
Philippians 1:12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things
which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the
gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all
other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are
much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good
will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add
affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth,
Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer,
and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall
be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall
be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
Philippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights
in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ,
that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
Colossians 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation
of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations,
but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom;
that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh
in me mightily.
1 Thessalonians 2:2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were
shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to
speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even
so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke
of covetousness; God is witness:
1 Thessalonians 2:9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for
labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of
you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those
days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their
minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the
blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the
veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with
pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he
is faithful that promised;)
James 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name
of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience
of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful,
and of tender mercy.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always
to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that
is in you with meekness and fear:
