Deuteronomy 23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation
of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the
congregation of the LORD for ever:
4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye
came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the
son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD
thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy
God loved thee.
6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for
ever.
7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not
abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation
of the LORD in their third generation.
9 When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every
wicked thing.
10 If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness
that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he
shall not come within the camp:
11 But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash himself with water:
and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp again.
12 Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go
forth abroad:
13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou
wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back
and cover that which cometh from thee:
14 For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee,
and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy:
that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
15 Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from
his master unto thee:
16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall
choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress
him.
Isaiah 11:14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward
the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their
hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
Jeremiah 9:25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish
all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and
all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all
these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised
in the heart.
Jeremiah 49:1 Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel
no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his
people dwell in his cities?
2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an
alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate
heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be
heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
3 Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird
you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their
king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding
daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?
5 Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from
all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right
forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.
6 And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon,
saith the LORD.
Ezekiel 25:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;
3 And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith
the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was
profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against
the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
4 Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession,
and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee:
they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
5 And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching
place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
6 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and
stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against
the land of Israel;
7 Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver
thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people,
and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee;
and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
8 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the
house of Judah is like unto all the heathen;
9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from
his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth,
Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,
10 Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession,
that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.
11 And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am
the LORD.
