Job 5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exaltedto safety.
12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannotperform their enterprise.
13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the frowardis carried headlong.
14 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as inthe night.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thineown understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walkethwisely, he shall be delivered.

Ecclesiastes 10:13 The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness:and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.

10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much:and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, whowill commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, whoshall give you that which is your own?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, andlove the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: andthey derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men;but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among menis abomination in the sight of God.

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors ofevil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable,unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things areworthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that dothem.

Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things,but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
