1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keepthe ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and thehead of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonourethhis head. 5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonourethher head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be ashame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the imageand glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. 10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of theangels. 11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the womanwithout the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman;but all things of God. 13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered? 14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair,it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair isgiven her for a covering. 16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neitherthe churches of God.
1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for itis not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be underobedience as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home:for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledgethat the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holyhands, without wrath and doubting. 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, withshamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls,or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man,but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continuein faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that,if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversationof the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of Godof great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trustedin God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own hus
