Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost hissavour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot behid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen ofthem: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee,as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they mayhave glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right handdoeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secrethimself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for theylove to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hastshut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father whichseeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, orfigs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt treebringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt treebring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and castinto the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdomof heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied inthy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done manywonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me,ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, Iwill liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, andbeat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, andbeat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else makethe tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? forout of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth goodthings: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shallgive account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shaltbe condemned.

Matthew 13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the seaside.
2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he wentinto a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sowerwent forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls cameand devoured them up:
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwiththey sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in hisheart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he thatheareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulationor persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word;and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth theword, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father withhis angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.
19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothingthereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforwardfor ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is thefig tree withered away!

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; goye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lampsare gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for usand you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were readywent in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein theSon of man cometh.
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one;to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took hisjourney.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid hislord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth withthem.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other fivetalents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, Ihave gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thouhast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things:enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredstunto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hastbeen faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things:enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knewthee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gatheringwhere thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, therethou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have notstrawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and thenat my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath tentalents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance:but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shallbe weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angelswith him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate themone from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessedof my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation ofthe world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gaveme drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee anhungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothedthee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuchas ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have doneit unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, yecursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gaveme no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not:sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred,or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did notminister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch asye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteousinto life eternal.

Mark 9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, Ifany man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant ofall.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he hadtaken him in his arms, he said unto them,

Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose hisreward.

Mark 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he mightfind any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves;for the time of figs was not yet.
14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafterfor ever. And his disciples heard it.

Luke 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized ofhim, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrathto come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to saywithin yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, ThatGod is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree thereforewhich bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impartto him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, whatshall we do?
13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall wedo? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely;and be content with your wages.

Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither dotha corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gatherfigs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth thatwhich is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringethforth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Luke 7:36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him.And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew thatJesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feetwith tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed hisfeet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what mannerof woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say untothee. And he saith, Master, say on.
41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed fivehundred pence, and the other fifty.
42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tellme therefore, which of them will love him most?
43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman?I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but shehath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hathnot ceased to kiss my feet.
46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointedmy feet with ointment.
47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; forshe loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Whois this that forgiveth sins also?
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Luke 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they haveheard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of thislife, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Luke 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel,or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they whichenter in may see the light.

Luke 9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me firstgo bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, andlooking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 13:6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree plantedin his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three yearsI come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumberethit the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, tillI shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cutit down.

Luke 14:12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinneror a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompencebe made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, theblind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thoushalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Luke 17:7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sitdown to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, andgird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterwardthou shalt eat and drink?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commandedhim? I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commandedyou, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was ourduty to do.

Luke 19:11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdomof God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receivefor himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and saidunto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, Wewill not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had giventhe money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast beenfaithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I havekept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up thatthou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thouwicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that Ilaid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my comingI might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and giveit to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; andfrom him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believethnot is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of theonly begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, andmen loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to thelight, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be mademanifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 4:31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought himought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold,I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they arewhite already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

Romans 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish withoutlaw: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers ofthe law shall be justified.

Romans 4:1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertainingto the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; butnot before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was countedunto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth theungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom Godimputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sinsare covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

1 Corinthians 3:1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were notable to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are yenot carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shallreceive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye areGod's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder,I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let everyman take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak:I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereofwith you.
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveththe prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateththe air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that byany means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever yedo, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that yourlabour is not in vain in the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have receivedmercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truthcommending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absentfrom the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be acceptedof him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you alsothat ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day ofsalvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in muchpatience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, infastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the HolyGhost, by love unfeigned,
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousnesson the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers,and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened,and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; ashaving nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

2 Corinthians 8:10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient foryou, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a yearago.
11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readinessto will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.
12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to thata man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap alsosparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; notgrudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; buthe that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap,if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especiallyunto them who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewithhe loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,(by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly placesin Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his gracein his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: itis the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters accordingto the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as untoChrist;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doingthe will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receiveof the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Philippians 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus,my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because thatye had heard that he had been sick.
27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; andnot on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again,ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such inreputation:
30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regardinghis life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the nameof the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to theflesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart,fearing God;
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

2 Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife,vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1 Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment;and some men they follow after.
25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and theythat are otherwise cannot be hid.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiledand unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Titus 2:6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewinguncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrarypart may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Titus 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirmconstantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintaingood works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Titus 3:14 And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessaryuses, that they be not unfruitful.

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save yoursouls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your ownselves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto aman beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgettethwhat manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein,he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shallbe blessed in his deed.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visitthe fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspottedfrom the world.

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled;notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body;what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faithwithout thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils alsobelieve, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaachis son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith madeperfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, andit was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friendof God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she hadreceived the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works isdead also.

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let himshew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, andlie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, tohim it is sin.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue;but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heartsbefore him.

Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These thingssaith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh inthe midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canstnot bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they areapostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thyfirst love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do thefirst works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thycandlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, whichI also hate.

Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, andthy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write;These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginningof the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wertcold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spuethee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have needof nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayestbe rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shameof thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve,
